About Morasinsi Bianco

Morasinsi is the enchanting composition of a captivating tale. That of Sveva Sernia and Peter Geier, two young winemakers with a passion for nature, beginning with a play on words that encapsulates an entire philosophy. The "M" geographically places us in the Murgia region of Puglia (Italy), a limestone plateau with a dry and hot climate that challenges the vines but rewards them with concentration and character. "ora" (hour in Italian) highlights the fundamental importance of time in wine production. The suffix "insi" derives from "insieme," meaning "together" in Italian. A term that refers not only to Sveva and Peter but to an entire silent yet essential community: pollinating insects, spontaneous plants, soil microorganisms, and, of course, the vine. All coexist in a vibrant, dynamic, almost magical balance. As they say, "We cultivate our vineyards with love, in synergy with nature."

Morasinsi Bianco is a delightful expression of the white soul of the region. It is a blend of indigenous varieties, including the enigmatic pampanuto, a grape little known outside of Puglia, which imparts freshness, minerality, and a surprising structure. Regenerative agriculture is practiced, biodiversity is encouraged, and the soil is protected as a sacred resource. No herbicides or chemical fertilizers are used.

Vinification is carried out entirely in cement tanks, a noble material that allows for controlled micro-oxygenation without introducing foreign aromas to the wine, resulting in an honest and vibrant expression of the terroir. Furthermore, the wine is neither clarified nor filtered, preserving all its authenticity, texture, and personality.
