If wine possessed an aristocracy, pinot noir would undoubtedly be among the elite. With its delicate elegance, subtle structure, and ability to precisely reflect the terroir, this "blue-blooded" grape feels at home in Burgundy, the region that has celebrated it for centuries.

Among Burgundy's treasures, Domaine de la Vougeraie stands out brilliantly. Located in Premeaux-Prissey, France, this group of wineries brings together exceptional vineyards under the vision of Jean-Charles Boisset, who in 1990 decided to consolidate his family's finest vineyards—some 42 hectares—into a single estate. This ambitious family project began in 1964 and, after half a century of acquisitions and consolidations, has transformed into the Domaine we know today, blending tradition, excellence, and a profound respect for the land.

Domaine de la Vougeraie Bourgogne Pinot Noir "Terres de Famille" is the fruit of this family endeavour. A pinot noir born from a carefully balanced combination of grapes from the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. Adhering to a philosophy of absolute respect for nature, the vineyards are cultivated biodynamically, respecting natural rhythms and soil vitality.

In the winery, every step mirrors this same care. The grapes are destemmed without crushing, placed in vats by gravity, with no added yeasts or enzymes, and undergo a cold pre-fermentation maceration for 5 days. Fermentation is completed in 18 days with a gentle daily remontage, followed by a delicate vertical pressing. The ageing process combines oak barrels—20% new, with a gentle and slow toast—for 8 months and an additional 2 months in stainless steel tanks, ensuring a perfect balance between structure, finesse, and fruit.

The result is an elegant, expressive, and vibrant pinot noir, capable of transporting those who taste it directly to the vineyards of Burgundy. Undoubtedly, Domaine de la Vougeraie Bourgogne Pinot Noir "Terres de Famille" is the reflection of a family that has maintained its lineage.
