About De Moor Chitry

De Moor Chitry is a single varietal Chardonnay white wine produced by Domaine Alice & Olivier De Moor in the A.O.C Bourgogne, in Burgundy, France.

The grapes used to make the De Moor Chitry wine come from plots composed of the characteristic Chablis calcareous soils with loams and clay loams. The harvest is carried out manually and fermentation takes place with native yeasts. The resulting wine ages in foudres and oak barrels to ensure that the flavours of the wood do not interfere or mask the fruit in the wine, which is bottled using gravity without clarifying or filtering.

Alice and Olivier cultivate their grapes under the principles of biodynamic agriculture on small plots in Courgis, 7 kilometres south of Chablis. They don’t use any chemicals and all work is carried out with minimal intervention and with complete respect for nature. This means their wines are pure, natural and highly sought after, so much so that they sell out quickly.
2018 De Moor Chitry 2018 is a white wine with aromas of green apple and nectarines on the nose, with a subtle mineral note and a citric touch of limes and lemons. On the palate it is elegant and fresh. This is a profiled and crisp wine, with a silky purity and persistence.
