Antoine Lienhardt Gamayoptère is a natural red wine crafted by Domaine Antoine Lienhardt using the gamay grape variety in the AOC Coteaux-Bourguignons, Burgundy (France).
After several years of working in various winemaking regions, Antoine Lienhardt took over the vineyards planted by his grandfather in 1960 in the village of Comblanchien and embarked on a meticulous endeavour to showcase the worth of the Côte de Nuits terroirs in Burgundy. With water, air, and soil as guiding principles, he produces natural, organic, biodynamic, and vegan-friendly wines that have quickly garnered admiration from minimal intervention experts.
Antoine Lienhardt Gamayoptère originates from old vines cultivated organically, with biodynamic treatments and Grand Cru-level care. Yields are strictly limited, and a horse is used for fieldwork. The grapes are hand-harvested and sorted directly in the vineyard before reaching the winery.
In the winery, Antoine Lienhardt Gamayoptère undergoes semi-carbonic maceration with whole clusters using indigenous yeasts and without sulfur. Ageing takes place partly in stainless steel tanks and a smaller portion in concrete eggs for 7 months. Finally, it is bottled unfiltered and unfined.
Antoine Lienhardt Gamayoptère 2019 is a highly original Burgundy crafted by the expert hands of Lienhardt. A natural red wine brimming with freshness, fruitiness, and deliciousness.
