About Añares Crianza

Añares Crianza is a red wine from Rioja produced by Bodegas Olarra. This wine is a blend of Tempranillo (90%), Grenache (5%) and Mazuelo and Graciano (5%).

The grapes, after being harvested, are fermented using selected yeasts at a controlled temperature between 22º and 26º in stainless steel temperature.

Añares Crianza is aged for 14 months in American and French oak vats and rests at least another 4 in the bottle.

Bodegas Olarra is located in Logroño, in the heart of the Rioja and within the sub-area of La Rioja Alta. It was founded in 1973 and is known as "the cathedral of Rioja" for its beauty and complexity. Bodegas Olarra combines tradition with modern methods to produce their wines.

2009 This red wine is smooth and light-bodied. Correct acidity and short finish. An everyday wine, easy to drink, perfect for this price range.

2008 Nice, easy-drinking wine with a light body and a soft, tasty, fresh mid palate. Well structured and balanced wine with a good but not very long finish which leaves toasted aromas.

Good aromatic intensity with a perfect balance between the notes of fruit and the notes provided during its ageing. The notes of red fruit emerge along with toasted notes, hints of vanilla and touches of liquorice.
2006 Robust in the mouth, structured, spacious with fine tannins and very long either conjoined. Long and persistent finish. Reminds of a more modern wines as of Telmo Rodriguez.
