About Trimbach Pinot Gris Réserve Personnelle
Trimbach Pinot Gris Réserve Personnelle is a single-variety Pinot Gris white wine from the AOC Alsace made by Trimbach.
Trimbach is a winery founded in 1626 and located in the medieval city of Ribeauvillé. The Trimbach family, who has been at the helm for 13 generations, currently has more than 15,000 hectares of vineyards, with 1,600 of those classified as Grand Cru. They make fruity but structured, elegant, balanced and long-living wines. They do not age their wines in foudres or barrels but they are always aged for a few months or years in the bottle in the winery so that they are at their best when they reach the market.
The Trimbach Pinot Gris Réserve Personnelle vineyard has very rich clay and mineral soils with significant limestone deposits. The harvest is carried out manually to take great care over the grapes and ensure that they reach the winery undamaged.
In the winery, the Trimbach Pinot Gris Réserve Personnelle vintage is gently pressed and the must is cold-racked using gravity to remove any impurities or deposits and make it clear. It then ferments at around 20ºC to preserve and extract the variety’s fresh and fruity aromas and then it is bottled without malolactic fermentation, which preserves the natural fresh acidity of the grapes and their fruity character as well as the full aging potential.
Trimbach Pinot Gris Réserve Personnelle is a great wine from the best land, including GG Osterberg, with great maturity, opulence and succulent fruits. It is complex, full, structured and voluptuous.

2014 | Trimbach Pinot Gris Réserve Personnelle 2014 has a fresh and complex nose that increases with time. In the mouth it reveals juicy apricots accompanied by flavours of honey and cream all brought together by a pleasant minerality. It has an ageing potential of over 10 years. |
