Glenmorangie A Tale of Ice Cream boasts an enticing bronze hue that beckons to be savoured. Its aroma is a symphony of manuka honey and butterscotch, nuanced by a hint of lemon, raisin bread, and candied orange peel. With the addition of a splash of water, notes of vanilla custard and a subtle touch of marzipan emerge. On the palate, the texture is rich and creamy, unveiling sweet and spiced flavours such as brioche, honeycomb, and lemon sorbet. Located near the Royal Burgh of Tain, the oldest royal burgh in Scotland, the Glenmorangie distillery was established in 1843 in what was once a brewery, and swiftly distinguished itself as Scotland's top-selling single malt whisky.
 
Renowned for its light, floral, and citrusy whiskies, Glenmorangie boasts a long-standing tradition of exploring various types of wood to enhance its spirits. Dr. Bill Lumsden, Director of Whisky Creation, consistently astonishes with innovative and daring creations.
 
His latest masterpiece, Glenmorangie A Tale of Ice Cream, is a limited edition that embodies sweetness, delightful sensation, and a wonderfully creamy texture. This single malt whisky captures the exquisite flavours found in ice cream parlours, elevating vanilla notes to a new level.
 
Dr. Bill envisioned how to capture these flavours in a single malt, and together with Master Blender Gillian Macdonald, combined a single malt aged in bourbon casks with a whisky finished in high-vanillin casks. The result is an aromatic profile highlighting notes of ripe peach, vanilla, and coconut, taking the fruity and sweet flavours of Glenmorangie to new heights.
