Abstinence Cape Spice is a non-alcoholic spirit of great complexity and vibrancy. From the outset, vanilla and tropical coconut emerge, blending with hints of caramel and toffee. About Abstinence Cape Spice

Both Pierre Strydom and Stefan Coetzee voluntarily chose to abstain from alcohol. Although this voluntary abstinence was not permanent, these dry spells were enough for both friends to realise that most non-alcoholic beverages were not well-crafted. Despite all their benefits and virtues, the taste of most of these wines and spirits differed from their original flavour. It was from this predicament that the idea of creating Abstinence was born, the home and origin of flavourful non-alcoholic aperitifs, such as Abstinence Cape Spice, a spirit that serves as a rum substitute. 
 
It is clear that nothing and no one can replace a good rum; however, Abstinence Cape Spice can indeed be a perfect alternative to this sugarcane distillate. To achieve this excellence, Pierre and Stefan travel to the Cape Floral Kingdom in South Africa (specifically in the Western Cape province), where they have found the finest botanicals for their beverages. In the case of Abstinence Cape Spice, vanilla, coconut, cinnamon, clove, caramelised sugar, nuts, and a touch of Honeybush (a South African shrub, very similar to rooibos, notable for its honey aroma) are essential. All of these are processed in small batches. From them, essential oils are extracted through hydrodistillation, which will be used in the subsequent infusion of the drink.
