Resalte Essences Cuvée is a concentrated red wine with aromas of red and black fruit accompanied by notes of dried herbs, chocolate and sweet spices. On the palate it is flavoursome, silky and well structured. A medium- to full-bodied wine with good acidity, ripe tannins and a long, lingering finish.

About Resalte Essences Cuvée

There are hundreds of wineries in Peñafiel. This town lies in the province of Valladolid, in the region of Castilla y León (Spain), and is known for its winemaking tradition and the production of quality wine. Covered by the DO. Ribera del Duero, vines have been cultivated in this area for centuries and a deep knowledge of grape growing and winemaking has developed. One of the wineries that started more than 20 years ago is Resalte de Peñafiel. A project that has a total of 80 hectares of vineyards in different areas of the Ribera del Duero and has been an ambassador of the Tempranillo variety wherever it has presented its wines.

But if there is one wine that represents the best of Resalte’s essence, it has to be Resalte Essences Cuvée, a blend of three great vintages, 2015, 2018 and 2019, where each wine brings its best qualities to achieve an exceptional wine. This is a practice that, although might seem rare nowadays, was common in the past. But to achieve the perfect balance of different wines is an art that begins with the care and respect for the raw material in the vineyard and continues in the meticulous production process in the winery with a long aging in large French oak barrels to achieve complexity and great aging potential. So, the 2015 vintage offers complexity and silky tannins, the 2018 vintage freshness and length, and the 2019 vintage muscle and precision.

Nowadays a rare wine due to the complexity of its production, Resalte Essences Cuvée is a demonstration of the art of assembly. Only 654 bottles of a wine made from unique vintages that reflects the expertise of a wine-growing area that is steeped in tradition.
