Elio Altare Cerretta Vigna Bricco Riserva Barolo is a red wine, barrel made by Elio Altare with the native variety Nebbiolo at DOCG Barolo Riserva (Piedmont).

Elio Altare returned from Burgundy with the intention of applying the new techniques learned to the family winery. Maximum respect for the terroir and minimal intervention in the wine cellar make it a true visionary in a traditional wine region. As a result, he produces elegant and modern wines which know how to show the authentic land of the Langhe (Piedmont).

Elio Altare Cerretta Vigna Bricco Riserva Barolo comes from 20-year-old vineyards planted in sandstone, limestone and chalk soils. It’s a legendary Serralunga crus which is cultivated in a respectful way, without the use of herbicides, pesticides or chemical products. Harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.

At the winery, Elio Altare Cerretta Vigna Bricco Riserva Barolo grapes macerate in the skins for approximately 4 to 5 days with temperature control. Fermentation is spontaneous with native yeasts and the wine ages in French oak barrels for 24 months before bottling.
