Domaine de L'Arlot Nuits-Saint-Georges 1st Cru Clos de L'Arlot is a monovarietal Pinot Noir red wine produced by Domaine de L'Arlot under the AOC Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru/ Côte D'Or in Burgundy , France.

 

Domaine de L'Arlot Nuits-Saint-Georges 1st Cru Clos de L'Arlot wine is unusual because it comes from bunches which are planted on two hectares of an old quarry and from a complex terroir where diverse microclimates and varied soils co-exist, where soils composed of marl with ostrea acuminata, premeaux limestone rock and white oolite dominate. Winemaking is carried out in the traditional way with manual harvesting, minimal barreling and pumping over and periodic battonages in order to reveal all the delicacy of the terroir. The resulting wine is aged for 15 months in oak barrels, of which about 45% are new use, and rests for three months in barrels before being bottled.

 

Domaine de L'Arlot Nuits-Saint-Georges 1st Cru Clos de L'Arlot is a Premier Cru Monopole which is made only with grapes that come from the oldest vineyards.

 

Domaine de L'Arlot is one of the best wineries in Nuits-Saint-Georges, where Géraldine Godot produces red and white wines of extraordinary quality. A century-old farm which perfectly represents all the values of Burgundy and where work is carried out with the utmost respect for the environment in order to plainly reveal the characteristics of each terroir. 

2018 Domaine de L'Arlot Nuits-Saint-Georges 1st Cru Clos de L'Arlot 2018 is a red wine which on the nose offers aromas reminiscent of red berries, flowers and fennel. On the palate it’s smooth, with a structured texture accompanied by pleasant tannins. A delicate, aromatic, delicious red wine with incredible depth.
