About Casa de la Ermita Crianza

Casa de la Ermita Crianza is a red wine from Jumilla produced by Casa de la Ermita. The winery and the vineyards that surround it are at 700 m altitude in the mountains of El Carche, some of the highest mountains in Murcia.

Casa de la Ermita Crianza is a blend of Monastrell (a typical variety of the area), Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Thanks to poor rains in the area and rocky soils where the vineyards are planted, the vines and grapes grow vigorously and benefit from a good maturation.

For the preparation of Casa de la Ermita Crianza, each of the varieties are vinified separately and aged.

The grapea arrive at the winery at to 8 m in altitude, and fermentation is done by gravity at a controlled temperature for 10-15 days.

Once fermented, Casa de la Ermita Crianza is aged for 9 months in barrels of American and French oak.
