About Ponce Pino

Ponce Pino is a red wine made by the Ponce Winery and Vineyards in Manchuela.

Ponce Winery and Vineyards is a small family winery that produces wines by hand using native varieties with a great personality.

Ponce Pino is a varietal Bobal, with grapes from a single 1.2 hectare farm with vineyards 35 years old, planted at an altitude of 900 metres above sea level and cultivated according to the principles of ecological agriculture.

After a slight maceration and treading of the grapes, fermentation occurs with yeast from their own vineyard in oak vats.

Once fermentation takes place, Ponce Pino undergoes an aging that stretches for 11 months in French oak barrels of 600 litres.

Ponce Pino is an expressive, honest Manchuela. With some Atlantic character and coldness. Perhaps the finest Bobal product of this winery.

The taste is a flavoursome, intense and velvety with strong tannins and acidity. Memories of earth. Average length aftertaste.

Dark red, very intense. With some purple reflections.

Black fruit, creams, balsamic and some liquorice.
