Joseph Faiveley Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champ Gain is a single-variety Chardonnay white wine made by Domaine Faiveley under the AOC Puligny-Montrachet in Burgundy, France.

Joseph Faiveley Puligny-Montrachet is a Côte de Beaune Premier Cru that comes from a small plot with an exceptional terroir for Chardonnay cultivation where light and shallow soils predominate and give rise to fine, elegant and grand wines with persistent aromatics.

At Domaine Faiveley they use sustainable viticulture in the vineyards, which they do with the aim of creating the best quality and authenticity in each harvest as well as looking after the environment, which is reflected in the diversity of flora and fauna that is found in their plots and that is a sign of their good health.

To make Joseph Faiveley Puligny-Montrachet, the harvest is carried out manually and carefully transported to the Nuits-Saint-Georges vaulted cellars, which date back to the 19th century and provide ideal aging conditions. Here, the wine ages in oak barrels for between 13 and 15 months. Some of these barrels are new and some are used. The proportion of each varies depending on the harvest. The barrels are of the highest quality and selected for their fine grain and light toasting.

This is a wine that undoubtedly exemplifies a single-plot Chardonnay full of Burgundy elegance.
2016 Joseph Faiveley Puligny-Montrachet 2016 1er Cru Champ Gain is an elegant white wine that offers aromas of citrus and exotic fruits with light toasted notes. On the palate it is full and balanced, with an acidity that provides richness and vivacity. It has a harmonious mid-palate and a lingering aftertaste.
