François Carillon Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrières is a barrel-aged white wine made with the Chardonnay variety by Domaine François Carillon in the French denomination AOC Puligny-Montrachet/Côte-d'Or, in Burgundy.
 
Domaine François Carillon is a family estate dating back to the 16th century in Puligny-Montrachet (Côte d´Or), in one of the most prestigious Burgundy terroirs. In 1988, following the family tradition, it was run by the father and his two sons. Then in 2010, the land was divided between the two brothers and one of them, François, set up his own project to produce elegant and refined wines, mostly with the Chardonnay variety.
 
François Carillon Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrières comes from the heart of the Côte de Beaune. This is a prestigious Primer Cru where the vines are planted on rocky limestone soils. The team uses environmentally friendly agriculture, seeking the natural balance of the terroir and the vine. When the grape reaches optimum ripeness, it is harvested by hand. 
 
In the winery, the François Carillon Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrières grapes are meticulously selected to be gently pressed. The resulting must is fermented at a controlled temperature and finally goes through a long aging process in wooden barrels, 15% of which are made with new wood.
 
François Carillon Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrières is one of the most glorious representations of the prestigious Côte de Blancs. A Chardonnay with excellent maturity and concentration in perfect balance. 
 
2018 François Carillon Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrières 2018 is a creamy white wine with a complex bouquet of white fruits, citrus notes and mineral touches. On the palate it is silky, smooth and very elegant. An unctuous wine with citrus notes and a deliciously salty finish.
