About Sota Els Àngels Flow Blanco

Flow Blanco is a white wine produced by the winery Sota els Àngels in Cruïlles, Monells i Sant Sadurní de l'Heura, D.O. Empordà.

Sota els Àngels is a winery created in Baix Empordà by María Jesús Polanco and Guy Jones. Now they also have the guidance of Fredi Torres. It is located on the north side of Les Gavarres, an old rocky mountain filled with holmoaks and cork trees, which was proclaimed of natural interest in 1992.

They cultivate a total of 8 hectares organically and in accordance with biodynamic parameters. Their aim is to extract the soul of each one of the grape varieties, at the same time as they improve the balance and the natural harmony of their environment, producing wines impregnated with the shades of their terroir.

Flow Blanco is a natural wine made from red carignan and grenache vinified with the winemaking process for white wines. They are manually harvested and placed in 15 kg boxes. The carignan is pressed on the same day it is harvested. It ferments with local yeasts at a low temperature. Once the malolactic fermentation ends, it is aged for 6 months in stainless steel deposits on its fine lees with slight batonnages. It is bottled without filtering. Free SO2: 18 mg/litre.

Flow Blanco is a tasty, lingering and fresh wine. An astonishing "blanc de noirs" with a lot of aroma and a great expression.

Sota Els Àngels Flow Blanc 2022 is a white wine that on the nose presents floral aromas (orange blossom, mimosa) and fruits such as melon, pineapple, and peach, accompanied by a hint reminiscent of almond milk. On the palate, it is fresh, direct, and dry. A very balanced white wine, slightly saline, with a long and flavourful finish.

Flow Blanc 2021 is a white wine with floral aromas (orange blossom, mimosa) on the nose, accompanied by fruity notes of peach, pineapple or melon. The palate is full of freshness, with a pleasant volume and a hint of salinity. A balanced, flavoursome and elegant white wine.
