About Cragganmore Distiller Edition

What happens when a classic Speyside whisky takes a holiday in a Port cask? Something like this: Cragganmore becomes warmer, sweeter, and gains a touch of mystery that invites you to linger a while. It's one of those bottles that work particularly well as the evening slowly unfolds, perfect for serving something with a bit more depth.
 
Cragganmore was born from the vision of Big John Smith, one of the great pioneers of Speyside whisky (Scotland), who chose this spot for the purity of its waters and for something as unromantic —yet so decisive— as having the railway nearby. It was the first distillery in Speyside to use the train both to receive raw materials and to take its whisky further afield, turning Cragganmore into a little ambassador for the region.
 
In this Distillers Edition, the Cragganmore whisky undergoes a second maturation in casks that have held Ruby Port, following its initial ageing in American oak. The result retains the complex and elegant personality of the distillery but adds a rounder, fruitier, and slightly sweeter dimension, with the warmth that Port wine imparts when it meets a good whisky. Furthermore, each release is part of a limited batch, giving it that special character of a bottle worth discovering when it appears.
 
Cragganmore Distillers Edition is a whisky to serve without too much fuss and let the conversation do the rest.
