Tasting notes Château La Marzelle 2025 Avanzada
Red wine Aged in wood.
Château La Marzelle 2025 is a red wine that initially presents with a whispering delicacy, where elderflower, blackcurrant, and a fresh hint of mint emerge, adding verticality. On the palate, it enters with a certain creamy breadth, giving way to a taut structure, where the still youthful tannins create fine edges that blend with a lively and well-defined acidity. This combination imparts a vibrant character, more energetic than immediately profound, like a landscape still coming into focus. A wine that looks forward with verve and clarity, promising evolution and character over time.

About Château La Marzelle Avanzada
What if there were wines that seem to recall their own history before you even taste them?
In Saint-Émilion, upon a high terrace shaped by the ancient course of the Isle, Château La Marzelle is not perceived as an endpoint, but rather as a continuation. Its roots are lost among Cistercian abbeys, ancient maps, and hands that tended these vines long before the name was written in 1821. Centuries later, that same land continues to speak, now under the stewardship of the Sioen family, who have restored to the estate a sense of balance between respect, modernity, and a very subtle form of ambition.
Château La Marzelle is a red wine where the vineyard expresses itself with uncommon clarity, dominated by the vigour of the merlot grape, with cabernet sauvignon refining the structure and cabernet franc contributing a more aromatic, almost delicate touch. Everything feels precise, with ripe fruit, taut yet polished tannins, and a sense of depth that doesn't need to raise its voice.
Château La Marzelle is a wine that does not seek to impress immediately, but rather to gradually settle in, like those conversations that begin insignificantly and end up staying with you longer than expected.
And perhaps that is why it invites reflection without haste, as if each glass were a way to return, if only for a moment, to that landscape where history has never ceased to work silently to shape some of the world's finest wines.
