About Bàrbara Forés Blanc

Bárbara Forés Blanc is a white wine produced by the winery Bárbara Forés  in Gandesa (Tarragona), D.O. Terra Alta.

Bárbara Forés is a family-run winery that dates back to the late 19th century, when Rafael Ferrer Forés started to make wine. Currently, Carmen Ferrer and her husband, Manuel Sanmartín, are in charge of the winery.

Bárbara Forés has 22 hectares of vineyard. This allows them to combine altitude and orientation, the pains and the hills, the shade and the sun. Alongside cultivation with natural products and organic manure, they achieve a unique grape that adjusts to the requirements and characteristics of the different farms.

Bàrbara Forés Blanc is a wine made from White Grenache from their own vineyards.

After the manual harvest, the grapes go through skin-contact maceration for 24 hours. Once they are pressed, they ferment at a controlled temperature for 15 days in stainless steel deposits.

Bàrbara Forés Blanc 2019 is an intense, aromatic and dry wine. Aromas of fresh white fruit with marked flowery notes. In the mouth it is unctuous and fresh. 
2014 Fresh, unctuous and fleshy.

Pale lemon colour, steely hues.

Intense aromas of white fruit and herbs.
2011 Intense attack in which the wine coats the mouth with its lively but perfectly balanced acidity. A wine with a good mid palate, which shows a nice texture and mineral notes released along with the same hints of fruit and citrus already noticed on the nose. A fresh Spanish white wine with abundant nuances.

Intense yellow colour with waxen reflections.

Good aromatic intensity. The initial notes of citrus and yellow fruit are soon wrapped in mineral and herbal touches that provide this wine with complexity and freshness.
