AOC Mâcon-Villages
(Burgundy)

- New
Burgundy wine has managed to ensure that its vineyard districts have become a Unesco World Heritage Site. Located in the east of France, this is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious winemaking areas in the world. In this 250 kilometre stretch, red, white and a small quantity of rosé and sparkling wines are produced. Burgundy wine is divided into four different zones: Yonne, Chablis, Côte-d'Auxerre and Vézelien. The classification of Burgundy wines is based on their geography and not on their producer. Their denominations are included within the following scheme of distinct qualities: Grand crus, Premier crus, Commune and generic Bourgogne.
