Characteristics Tasàri Rosso
Tasàri Rosso is a red wine coupage of the Merlot and Nero d’Avola varieties produced by the Caruso e Minini winery in the DOC Sicilia, Italy.
To make the Tasàri Rosso wine, the grapes ferment in stainless steel tanks, macerating with their skins for around twelve days and under controlled temperatures ranging from 26ºC to 28ºC.
When alcoholic fermentation has finished, the resulting wine undergoes malolactic fermentation also in stainless steel tanks and it ages for three months before being released for sale.
Caruso e Minini is a leading winery in Marsala, in the far west of Sicily, which still follows the agricultural traditions of the Stefano Caruso family, now influenced by Mario Minini’s entrepreneurial vision, a highly successful combination that has led to their wines now being available in more than 30 countries.
