Pinna Fidelis Roble is a red wine made by Pinna Fidelis in the D.O. Ribera del Duero (Castilla y León) with the Tinta del País native red variety.
Pinna Fidelis is a modern winery that was set up in 2001 in Peñafiel (Valladolid) with its own vineyards and a clear traditional character. The Tinta del País is the star variety in their young, aged and reserva wines, and each wine has a true Ribera del Duero character.
Pinna Fidelis Roble comes from their own vines aged over 30 years old and planted in limestone soils. The continental climate provides great temperature variations which allows the grapes to become very concentrated. The team use traditional agriculture and when the grapes reach optimum ripeness, they are harvested manually.
In the winery, the Pinna Fidelis Roble grapes are macerated and fermented for 25 days in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine then ages in selected American oak barrels for 4 months with regular batonnage. Finally, it is clarified and bottled.
Pinna Fidelis Roble is a true Ribera del Duero style wine. A red that combines traditional production methods with today’s tastes.
