Olek Bondonio Barbaresco Starderi is an organic red wine made by Olek Bondonio with the Nebbiolo variety in the DOCG Barbaresco, in Piedmont (Italy).
Olek Bondonio is a winegrower whose family has a long winemaking history in Barbaresco. After training in wineries in France, Australia, New Zealand and Oregon, he produced his first vintage in 2005. A family estate with more than 200 years of history that, thanks to its small size, allows them to cultivate vines and make wines in a traditional way, ensuring that each wine fully expresses this truly magnificent place.
Olek Bondonio Barbaresco Starderi comes from vines planted on chalky clay soils. They are cultivated using organic agriculture and no pesticides, herbicides or any other chemical products that could harm the natural balance of the terroir. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
In the winery, the Olek Bondonio Barbaresco Starderi grapes are gently crushed and the resulting must ferments with the skins in concrete tanks with native yeasts for a month. The wine is then aged in large oak casks for 24 months. Finally the wine is bottled without being filtered.
Made in one of the most famous Barbaresco crus, Olek Bondonio Barbaresco Starderi is a pure expression of the wonderful Piedmont grapes. A subtle and very elegant Nebbiolo.
