Characteristics Larmandier-Bernier Terre de Vertus Premier Cru Non Dosé
Larmandier-Bernier Terre de Vertus Premier Cru Non Dosé 2013 is a vintage Champagne made with the Chardonnay variety by the Larmandier-Bernier winery in Champagne, France.
To make the Larmandier-Bernier Terre de Vertus Premier Cru Non Dosé Champagne, the grapes are gently pressed and the must is lightly clarified before alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place naturally in Stockinger foudres and barrels before being drawn off. The base wines age with their fine lees for the first year. Then tirage is carried out in July. The bottles age stacked for at least 5 years and this is where the second fermentation takes place. When the time comes, each bottle is disgorged by hand six months before being sold. There is no dosage, which means no sugar is added to respect its purity.
Larmandier-Bernier Terre de Vertus Premier Cru Non Dosé 2013 is a blanc de blancs made from a single vintage and grapes from a single plot that has been vinified separately since 1955. This vineyard is called “Les Barillers” and is located mid-slope in Vertus. It has delicate, saline, very complex and unique soils. The terroir itself brings balance to the harvest and the resulting wines which means no blending is necessary.
Larmandier-Bernier is a renowned Maison de Champagne located in the Côte de Blancs that biodynamically cultivates its 18 hectares of vineyards, prioritising the preservation of old vines that are cultivated with minimal intervention, with no pesticides and using indigenous yeasts for the long maturation process. This results in pure wines that do not require filtration or clarification, wines that are an authentic expression of the extraordinary terroir they come from.

Tasting notes Larmandier-Bernier Terre de Vertus Premier Cru Non Dosé
Larmandier-Bernier Terre de Vertus Premier Cru Non Dosé 2013 is a champagne with fruity notes of green apple and lemon on the nose, accompanied by custard aromas and mineral nuances. On the palate it is deep, like an enveloping mousse with a dry and pleasantly saline finish.
