Carrying the company name doesn’t make the road any easier. This is certainly the case at Gramona, a family winery with 6 generations of history, which, because of how much it has grown, has created a system that guarantees the relationship between the family and the company. This system requires new company employees to go through a training programme before they are given a job. So Leo and Roc Gramona, the youngest members of the family, had to study and work hard to achieve innovation and do something a bit different. They even set up their own project L'Enclòs de Peralba, so that they could experiment with sustainability, minimal intervention and new trends.
Among their new creations is L'Enclòs de Peralba Les Camades, a white wine made from Garnacna Blanca vines planted in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia (Penedès). They work organically with ecological and biodynamic practices, avoiding any chemical products that could alter the natural balance of the terroir. In the winery, following a minimal intervention philosophy, the grapes are fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks and then fermented in barrels for 9-15 months. Finally, it is bottled without clarifying or filtering.
L'Enclòs de Peralba Les Camades is part of a range of small productions whose creators are showing a new side to Penedès that is 100% organic and 100% sustainable. Pure Garnacha Blanca.
L'Enclòs de Peralba Les Camades 2018 is a white wine with aromas of apple, hints of vanilla and touches of wood. On the palate it is fresh, vibrant and balanced. A wine with well marked acidity, a smooth and pleasant mid-palate and a persistent finish.
