Hugel Alsace Pinot Gris Classic is a white wine of the Pinot Gris variety produced by the Hugel & Fils winery from the Alsace region of France.

The origins of Hugel & Fils date back to the 15th century. The winery is currently a member of The Henokiens, an international association of bicentennial family businesses. Despite its modest size, Hugel & Fils is recognised all over the world. It exports 80% of its production to over 100 countries, and its wines are in practically all the great restaurants in France.

The Hugel & Fils winery has one golden rule: "The wine is already in the grape". For this reason, as soon as bunches arrive at the winery, they are classified according to precise and strict criteria that guarantee that the wines made with them comply with the highest quality standards, respecting tradition and applying innovative techniques.

To produce this Hugel Alsace Pinot Gris Classic, the grapes are harvested manually and transported in small containers to keep the bunches intact, and when these arrive at the winery they are gently pressed and fermented under controlled temperatures.

The wine is naturally clarified with the cold of winter and filtered gently before being bottled in spring. The bottles finish off being rounded in the cellar where they spend an average of two years before leaving for the market.

Pinot Gris is the most discreet of all the varieties in the area in terms of aromas, and the one that has the greatest ageing potential. Hugel Alsace Pinot Gris Classic reveals a remarkable youth and a promising maturity.
