Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

Gran Claustro is a fantastic red wine produced by Castillo de Perelada winery in the D.O. Empordà.
This wine is an example of the best of Empordà: its landscapes, the aromas of its fields, the North wind that marks the character of its people… Gran Claustro brings together the best features of this beautiful region, confirming the old saying that "a wine is the landscape of the country concentrated in a wine glass".

This wine is only made from the best harvest with grapes selected from the winery's best vineyards. The varieties used are Cabernet Sauvignon (40%), Merlot (20%), Grenache (20%) and Samsó (20%).
The grapes are selected and collected entirely by hand.

They ferment at a controlled temperature of 25ºC and age for sixteen months in new Bordeaux barrels made with French Allier oak.
Gran Claustro has great ageing capacity.

The landscape of the region of Empordà, located in the northeast of Catalonia, is full of contrasts, due to the natural limits of the Pyrenees in the north and the Mediterranean Sea and magnificent Costa Brava in the east. Thanks to these, the Empordà is a unique place, a special territory between the sea and the mountains, marked by the presence of the north wind known as Tramontana.
