


Gramona Celler Batlle is a sparkling wine Corpinnat produced by the Gramona winery in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia.
Gramona was founded in 1881 in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia. After more than 130 years of experience in producing sparkling wines and wines, the fifth generation is currently in charge of the business, continuing with the family tradition and the philosophy they have applied in focusing their work on the winery over the years.
These past few years, Gramona has evolved in terms of the way it treats its vineyards, moving into organic agriculture and biodynamics, achieving the maximum balance of the vines with their surroundings, and in doing so filling all its wines with character and uniqueness.
Gramona Celler Batlle is a sparkling wine made from Xarello and Maccabeu grapes from their own vineyards. From the Font de Jui paraje calificado. 22.5 hectares at an altitude of 350 meters, with chalky-clay soils, sandy plates along the river and a profusion of rock in the highest and driest area. Cultivated organically and employing a biodynamic philosophy.
After being harvested manually into 20 kg boxes, all the grapes pass over the selection table in the winery. Once the grapes enter by gravity, the whole grape is gently pressed. After the initial fermentation, the second fermentation takes place in the bottle for a minimum aging period of 120 months stacked with a cork stopper. After this time the stirring and disgorgement is performed manually and winery’s centennial solera liqueur tirage is added with 7 gr/liter of sugar.
Gramona is a historic family winery located in Sant Sadurní d'Anoia. The first bottles hit the market 120 years ago and today these wines and cavas continue to be developed with the same passion and dedication. These cellars have today become a worldwide reference for lovers of this sparkling wine.
