Gaja Ca' Marcanda Vistamare Toscana is a wood-aged white wine made by Angelo Gaja with the Vermentino, Viognier and Fiano varieties in the DOC Maremma Toscana, in Tuscany (Italy).

Giovanni Gaja founded the family winery in Piedmont’s Langhe hills in 1859. But it was not until 1961, when Angelo Gaja joined the business, that the winery became one of the most revolutionary in Italy, breaking with traditional methods and turning its wines into great oenological gems with a prestigious international reputation.

Gaja Ca' Marcanda Vistamare Toscana comes from a plot acquired by the group in 1996 in one of the most desirable areas of Tuscany called Ca' Marcanda. This estate has vines planted on calcareous and alluvial soils that stand out for the presence of “terre brune” (black earth), which is rich in clay and lime.

In the winery, each variety used to make Gaja Ca' Marcanda Vistamare Toscana is vinified separately. The Vermentino is fermented in stainless steel and concrete tanks, the Viogner in 500-litre French and Austrian oak and, finally, the Fiano ferments in stainless steel and 500-litre barrels. They are then blended to make the final wine.

Gaja Ca' Marcanda Vistamare Toscana is a blend of Italian varieties that reflects Tuscany’s cheerful, Mediterranean character. As captivating as the splendid sea views.
