Enate Cabernet-Cabernet is a red wine produced by the Enate winery in Salas Altas (Huesca).D.O. Somontano.

Enate is a winery founded in 1991 that has quickly become a reference in the Spanish wine industry. Defining itself as a wine cellar of our time, where a passion for tradition coexists with today's modern techniques, Enate offers a wide range of wines that range from typical crianza and reservas to monovarietal reds and whites.

The winery’s vineyard of approximately 500 hectares is distributed throughout the municipalities of Salas Altas, Salas Bajas, Cregenzán and Basbastro. Located at an altitude of approximately 600 metres on very fertile limestone terrain. The climate in this area is continental, the temperatures are very cold in winter and hot in the summers.

Since its beginnings Enate has always enjoyed marrying wine with art, so much so that in 1992 it began to collect national and international contemporary art. Each wine bottle reproduces on its label the work of a well-known artist, created deliberately for the winery.

Enate Cabernet-Cabernet is a wine made with the best Cabernet Sauvignon grapes on the Enate, Salas Bajas and Alcanetos vinyeards.

The grapes are harvested by hand and upon arrival to the winery they are fermented in small stainless steel tanks with temperature controlled at 24°C, lengthening the maceration for three weeks.. After this period and the délestage process the wine is poured into new French oak barrels where it undergoes malolactic fermentation and aged for 18 months. Before being bottled it is stabilised in a stainless steel tank.

Enate Cabernet-Cabernet is an deep, long and enveloping wine. The fruit of our careful selection of the best Cabernet grapes is this serious and elegant wine. Undoubtedly, one of the best wines elaborated with this variety out of Somontano.

Today, the wines of the DO Somontano are characterised by their modernity, elegance and varietal personality. Just like Alsace, Chile, Australia and California, the DO Somontano is able to boast a tempting variety of truly international style white, rosé and red wines. The majority of wines produced in this region are single variety wines, using both native and international grape varieties, produced using varying winemaking techniques. As well as maintaining a high quality of wines, the Somontano region has managed to maintain fair prices in comparison to the competition, despite heavy economic investments by the wineries. Great quality and fair prices have helped wines from the region conquer much of the domestic market and openly compete with international markets.
