Domaines Landron Le Melonix is a natural biodynamic monovarietal Melon de Bourgonge white wine from the AOC Muscadet Sèvre et Maine, from the Loire area, produced by Domaines Landron.

Domaines Landron is a family winery founded in 1945 that has cultivated its vineyards ecologically since 1999, and biodynamically since 2006, in order to affirm the identity of the terroir. They vinify by plots and work them so that their differences can be fully expressed. Its wines are characterised by their freshness and fineness, and their mineral touches.

The vineyards for Domaines Landron Le Melonix are between 30 and 40 years old. They are trained in single Guyot style and the planting density is around 6,800 vines per hectare, producing few grapes per plant but ones that are balanced and concentrated. The plots’ soils are clayey-sandy, and are located on a plateau. The average yield is 40 hl/ha, and they are harvested by hand.

The Domaines Landron Le Melonix harvest is pressed whole when it arrives in the cellar. The resulting must is not racked, and goes on to ferment directly with native yeasts. It ferments for about 2-3 weeks and then undergoes malolactic fermentation to ensure that the wine is not so acidic. It then undergoes a refining ageing on lees in cement tanks for around 12 months. Lastly the wine is stabilised cold, without any oenological products being added, and is then bottled.

Domaines Landron Le Melonix is a white wine with aromas of white fruit and citrus touches, and is fresh and voluminous on the palate.
