Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

Corona de Aragón Garnacha is a young varietal Grenache from DO Cariñena prepared by the Corona de Aragón cellar.

The grapes are hand harvested from rainfed vineyards located between 500 and 700 metres of altitude. Vines are more than 40 years old and the production of each vine does not exceed 2 kilos.

After harvesting, the grapes are left to cool for about four or five days at a temperature of 8°. Subsequently, in order to achieve the highest concentration possible, they are fermented at 26°. Délestage techniques are used, which favour extraction of colour and phenolic compounds and which facilitates the dissolution of oxygen.

Finally, to control the pace of fermentation, a certain amount of yeast per litre is used.

Great Wines and Vineyards is a happy fact that, through a strong and determined commitment to quality, aims to join the tradition of winemaking with modern research development, work systems, better control of all processes from the strain. The winery has the technology and human resources needed to respond to a competitive market and quality.
Pictures and situation Grandes Vinos y Viñedos
For centuries red wine from Cariñena was characterized by high alcohol contents, intense colours and great strength. These wines were made for French and Spanish exporters, who used it for blending with other wines from other latitudes, which were much lighter, thinner and fragile. However in recent years, the area has been carefully working with the traditional Grenache grapes, as well as recovering back the Cariñena variety (also known as Mazuelo), shaking off overly alcoholic wines to join the world of good quality wines. The future of this region is much more promising than its past.
