Bruno Rochard Le Gué des Mûriers is a natural, organic, vegan young red wine made with the Grolleau variety by Domaine de Mirebeau in the Loire Valley (France).
When Bruno Rochard took over his father's Domaine de Mirebeau winery in 1998, he revolutionized the estate. The 6 hectares which until then had been used to produce wine in bulk, completely changed the cultivation with the aim of producing natural, precise, unique wines. A meticulous task that aims to understand the complexity of the terroirs and to transmit all the energy they give off.
Bruno Rochard Le Gué des Mûriers comes from a 50-year-old vineyard planted on pebble and clay soils (schist bedrock). Ecocert certified since 2009, it guarantees 100% organic cultivation without the use of chemicals. Giving priority to respect for living beings and minerals and limiting yields to 35hl/Ha., the grapes are harvested by hand at the optimum moment of ripening.
In the cellar, the grapes for Bruno Rochard Le Gué des Mûriers are destemmed and gently crushed. It undergoes a 10-day maceration and begins spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine stays there for 4 months. Finally, the wine is bottled without filtering, clarifying or adding sulphites.
Produced by an intrepid winemaker who has opted 100% for the pure expression of the Loire terroir, Bruno Rochard Le Gué des Mûriers is a young, pure, energetic wine. A great discovery!
