Abel Mendoza Graciano Garnacha Grano a Grano is a red wine produced in
D.O.Ca. Rioja by
Abel Mendoza Monje in
San Vicente de la Sonsierra.
Abel Mendoza began his journey in 1988, and he currently has 18 hectares that have been organically cultivated along the banks of the Ebro. The cultivation lands are rough and with a mixed composition, alternating clayey soils, marl and fine sandstones. Climate is moderately continental, marked by the Cantabrian influence.
Abel Mendoza is a wine grower that works his vines with dedication and turns them into personal wines. This is the result of different interpretations of the terroir.
Abel Mendoza Graciano Garnacha Grano a Grano is a wine made with
Graciano and
Grenache, selecting the best grapes from very old small vineyards.
Harvesting is carried out manually, selecting the grapes in the vineyard. Once in the winery, the bunches are separated, berry by berry. Then, they are fermented in stainless steel deposits at a controlled temperature. After the fermentation, they are aged in new French oak barrels for 18 months.
