Glenmorangie A Tale of Tokyo is a single malt whisky that offers a powerful herbal character on the nose, accompanied by aromas of smoky incense that whirl around notes of toffee. Bursts of pepper and nuances reminiscent of cedar wood appear. The palate reveals a spicy sensation that gives way to flavours of sour oranges and sour cherries; with a slight sweetness and a long, smooth finish of almond, tangerine and wood resin nuances.

About Glenmorangie a Tale of Tokyo

Located near the Royal Burgh of Tain, Scotland’s oldest royal burgh, on the site of a former brewery, the Glenmorangie distillery was founded in 1843 and its malt whisky was, for many years, the best-selling whisky in Scotland.
 
Glenmorangie is distinguished by its light, floral and citrusy whiskies, but also by its long tradition of exploring the influence of different types of wood in its spirits.
 
Under this concept of avant-garde and innovation, they make a new limited edition of Glenmorangie, A Tale of Tokyo, a single malt Scotch whisky created from the expertise of Dr. Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie’s innovative distilling director, who was inspired by the many sensory dimensions offered by the dazzling Japanese capital.
 
To convey the essence of Tokyo, Lumsden experimented for the first time with partially aging the Glenmorangie in Japanese mizunara oak casks coupled with cask-aged whiskies seasoned with sherry and bourbon, without sacrificing the Glenmorangie house style and hallmark.
