Clüsserath-Wittmann form an exceptional partnership. On one hand, Eva Clüsserath, from Trittenheim (Mosel), crafts delicate and precise white wines, following a family tradition dating back to 1670. On the other, Philip Wittmann, named Winemaker of the Year 2014 by the Gault Millau guide, leads the Wittmann winery in Rheinhessen, focusing on wines full of character.

These two vintners, although each manages their own family winery, share a common philosophy of life and work in the vineyard. They represent the new generation of German vintners: loyal to traditional practices, committed to environmental sustainability, and open to innovative methods.

In the case of Eva Clüsserath, her dedication has propelled the family winery to international acclaim. A clear example of her work is Ansgar Clüsserath Weisser Burgunder Trocken, crafted from selected weissburgunder vineyards that combine an ideal climate, slate soils with clay and gravel, and a long winemaking tradition.

The cultivation follows strict ecological guidelines to ensure the natural purity of the grapes. After a meticulous manual harvest, the grapes are gently processed, and the must undergoes a slow and natural fermentation in stainless steel tanks, which intensifies the fruity aromas and highlights the wine's quality. Subsequently, the wines age on lees in 50-year-old fudres, with only a single filtration before bottling, thus preserving their authenticity and character.
