Yannick Pelletier Blanc 2019 is an aromatic wine with fragrant notes of yellow flowers, hints of white fruit and citrus and spicy touches. The palate is fresh, bright and broad. A medium-bodied, dry wine with vibrant acidity, beautiful minerality and a remarkably tannic finish.

From the beginning of his career, Didier Barral, a native Languedoc vigneron, was sensitive to biodynamics and biodiversity in general and, based on the idea that everything is part of a return to nature, he earned absolute respect among his peers and a prestigious international reputation for his wines. Such was the impact he left on the sector that he has become a benchmark for new vignerons who are starting their professional careers following natural principles. This is true for Yannick Pelletier, a young winegrower who, after meeting the master, left his job as a salesman and settled on steep shale slopes in the Saint-Nazaire-de-Ladarez area, on the border between Saint-Chinian and Faugères, in Languedoc-Roussillon (France). With rigour, patience and the utmost respect, Pelletier has succeeded in creating an elaborate range of wines that are lively, fruity and easy to drink.
Yannick Pelletier Blanc is a white wine made from Terret and a small amount of Grenache Blanc. These are vines planted on schist soil that Pelletier cultivates following organic principles to obtain a pure, healthy and good quality fruit. Most of the work is carried out manually, because the work is more thorough than if it were done mechanically, and because it avoids using tractors that squash the soil. Once the grapes have been harvested by hand, they are selected, destemmed and pressed directly in the winery, including some that are crushed. In order to preserve the integrity of the grapes and the wine, fermentation and aging take place in stainless steel with native yeasts and no added sulphites or chemicals.
As discreet as he is talented, this new generation vigneron demonstrates with Yannick Pelletier Blanc that local varieties and, in particular, the minimal intervention white wines of Languedoc-Roussillon have a lot to say for themselves. A natural talent that is winning over the most exquisite palates.
