About Vignobles Arbeau Radical Cassoulet
From an early age they learned to love wine. Their summer holidays were spent in the family vineyard, identifying different aromas and flavours. They learned to carry it in their blood. Now Anne and Géraud Arbeau, siblings and the fifth generation of the family, have taken the reins of Château Coutinel, a century-old family business where they have gone one step further by setting up a new project: Vignobles Arbeau, and the results couldn’t have been better! Over time this pair has been surprising everyone with very original wines, where the terroir is the true protagonist. The winery’s approach has changed radically. And they needed a wine to honour that: Vignobles Arbeau Radical Cassoulet.
Made from Braucol and Côt (also known as Malbec), Vignobles Arbeau Radical Cassoulet has found its way to every corner of the world. The organic cultivation allows it to fully express the terroir of southwestern France, where a wide variety of soils lie in an Atlantic climate with continental overtones. The vines used to make Vignobles Arbeau Radical Cassoulet grow on the 52 hectares that the family owns in Labastide-Saint Pierre, between Toulouse and Bordeaux, on the left bank of the Tarn River. Here, gravel and sandstone soils are mixed with clays and mud. All the vineyards are manually cultivated, respecting the local environment and ecosystem.
In the winery, Vignobles Arbeau Radical Cassoulet is vinified in the most respectful way possible. Always using minimal intervention, the winegrower is only needed if something doesn’t go to plan. Aside from that, they just exercise patience and let Vignobles Arbeau Radical Cassoulet speak for itself. “Just the right dose of technique and mastery.”
