About Tenuta Sant'Antonio Valpolicella Nanfrè
Tenuta Sant'Antonio Valpolicella Nanfrè is a red wine blend of the Corvina and Rondinella varieties produced byTenuta Sant'Antonio under the DOC Valpolicella Classico, in the Veneto region of Italy.
A typical Veneto knows how to make himself known, like Gianfranco (Nanfrè to his friends) who owns the vineyard where Tenuta Sant'Antonio Valpolicella Nanfrè wine is produced. The soil is composed of medium-textured clays and located 200 meters above sea level, where vines grow with ages ranging from 10 to 15 years.
The grapes are harvested by hand in boxes. On arrival at the winery the bunches are destemmed at 22-23 degrees, pressed and fermented under controlled temperatures and with selected yeasts for 8 to 10 days. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation naturally. A batonnage in stainless steel with special mixers is applied once a week until bottling. Tenuta Sant'Antonio Valpolicella Nanfrè ages in stainless steel tanks for six months under controlled temperatures.
2017 | The Tenuta Sant'Antonio Valpolicella Nanfrè 2017 presents a bouquet brimming with fruity aromas reminiscent of cherries and red berries, complemented by a subtle floral and spicy nuance. On the palate, it is succulent and vibrant. This red wine is aromatic and flavorful, with moderate tannins and a low alcohol content. |
