Tardieu-Laurent Côtes-du-Rhône Les Becs Fins Blanc 2021
AOC Côtes du Rhône
(Rhone)
Tardieu-Laurent Côtes-du-Rhône Blanc Guy-Louis is a white wine made with Viognier, Marsanne, White Grenache and Clairette grapes. It is a wine qualified as AOC Côtes du Rhone and is produced by Maison Tardieu-Laurent.
Maison Tardieu-Laurent is considered one of the benchmark houses in the Rhone area. It was founded in 1994 by Michel Tardieu and Dominique Laurent, but is currently exclusively of the Tardieu family. The winery does not have any of its own vineyards. It buys grapes and wine by agreeing cultivation and processing conditions with the owners. Michel Tardieu, who runs it, also advises Bodegas Mas Alta, in the Priorat.
In the vineyards for Tardieu-Laurent Côtes-du-Rhône Blanc Guy-Louis the White Grenache vines are 70 years old, those of Roussanne and Marsanne are 60 years old, those of Viognier are 40 years old and those of Clairette are 30 years old.
Once fermented, the wine ages for 8 months in Allier and Tronçais barrels that are either new or used once or twice. Lastly, it is not clarified but rather filtered gently.
Tardieu-Laurent Côtes-du-Rhône Blanc Guy-Louis is a balanced wine made with grapes from plots in the north and south of the Rhone. A balanced, perfumed and refined wine.
