About Sumarroca Nostrat Blanc de Blancs
Sumarroca Nostrat Blanc de Blancs is a white wine from Penedès, prepared by Bodegues Sumarroca. This wine is a blend of Muscat, Macabeo, Parellada and Xarelo.
The grapes used to produce this wine come from the Sumarroca estate, close to the Garraf Massif, and the Sabartés estate, which is clearly influenced by the sea. The vineyards grow on calcareous soils, poor in organic matter with remainders of gravel.
The reception and the pressing is done separately according to variety and plots. A static racking occurs for 24 hours and fermentation, at a stable temperature of 14º, lasts about 20 days.
The final transfer is performed with special care, with the aim of preserving the fine lees in the tank as they rest.
Sumarroca currently has 464.8 hectares which the winery uses for its own wine and champagne production.
The company's goal is not to compete with larger scale wineries, but to create products of proximity and quality.
