Spirits Larios

Larios is the number one brand of gin in Spain. Thanks to the efforts of the Frenchman Charles Lamothe and Pedro Jiménez, since 1866 it has succeeded in becoming the most emblematic gin in Spain and one of the most recognised by Spaniards. It all began in Malaga, under the name of Jiménez & Lamothe, in an effort to recreate the sensations of the Mediterranean in a quality drink that captured the spirit and tradition of the area. In 1916, the name of the distillery was changed to Larios y Cía following its purchase by the Marqués de Larios.

In the 1950s Larios became a benchmark due to the innovative design of its bottle. Ten years later it became established as a tall drink, when these types of drinks were still not common in society. By 1980 it had become the best-selling gin in Spain. From this point, Larios has evolved and given rise to new gins such as Larios Rosé, Larios 12, Larios 150 or Larios Citrus in order to satisfy new needs and to complement a great many cocktails.
