Characteristics Ritual Alcaparral Block Syrah
Ritual Alcaparral Block Syrah is a red wine aged in wood made by Ritual Wines with the Syrah variety in the Casablanca Valley, Chile.
Founded in 1990 in the Casablanca Valley by Agustín Huneeus, one of the great promoters of wine in Chile, Ritual Wines follows organic and respectful practices to obtain elegant and expressive wines which faithfully show the expression of such a unique place.
Ritual Alcaparral Block Syrah comes from vineyards planted in granite and quartz soils with a clay loam texture. These vines are located 370 meters above sea level and surrounded by the great biodiversity of the Casablanca Valley. They’re cultivated with organic and environmentally-friendly practices only.
In the winery, the Ritual Alcaparral Block Syrah grapes undergo minimal oenological intervention. Fermentation is carried out with native yeasts and then the wine ages in French oak barrels for 12 months before bottling.
Ritual Alcaparral Block Syrah is a high-end Chilean Syrah which stands out for its aromatic complexity and wonderful tenacity.

Tasting notes Ritual Alcaparral Block Syrah
Ritual Alcaparral Block Syrah 2015 is a concentrated red wine with a sweet nose of red fruit, dark chocolate and hints of fresh pepper. On the palate it’s matured, sweet and enveloping. A medium-bodied wine with silky tannins and balanced acidity. The finish is flavoursome, persistent and with smoky hints.
