About Randemar Blanc
Randemar Blanc is a white wine produced by the winery Celler Tianna Negre in the municipality of Binissalem, VT Mallorca.
Celler Tianna Negre is the project of the family Morey-Garau, and the company Antonio Nadal, S.A. (Bodegas Túnel), which is born from the idea of building a winery to produce their own wines. At first they made their first wine in the garage of a friend who was a winemaker. It was in 2007 when they opened their own winery, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, enabling them to take care of the grapes in the entire production process, at the same time as they paid utmost respect for the environment.
The Morey-Garay family is originally from the municipality of Consell, a neighbouring village of Binissalem, with a great winemaking tradition. This is where they first vineyard, with more than 35 years of age, was located. Currently, the winery has 35 hectares of vineyards distributed throughout the region of Raiguer. The vineyards are planted on soils with predominant Call Vermell, a calcareous soil with a clayey texture, rich in iron, which gives it its characteristic red colour. The climate of the area is typically Mediterranean, with very mild summers and moderately cold winters.
Randemar Blanc is a wine made from Premsal Blanc, Chardonnay and Muscat de Frontignan , from their own vineyards.
The grapes are manually harvested and placed in boxes. Then, they are selected in the vineyards. Once they arrive at the winery, they are destemmed and then they go through a short pre-fermentation maceration with their skins at a low temperature. After being gently pressed, the must is transferred to isothermal deposits, where it goes through a static settling process at a controlled temperature that must not exceed 10ºC. The clean must is taken to stainless steel deposits at a controlled temperature, between 12 and 14ºC, where it will ferment for 21 days. When it finished the fermentation, it will remain in these deposits on its fine lees the two following months.
2018 | Randemar Blanc is a light, aromatic and fresh wine. Very fruity on the nose, and agile and dynamic in the mouth. |
