Marcel Lapierre Raisins Gaulois Rouge is a natural, organic and vegan red wine made by Domaine Marcel Lapierre with the Gamay variety in the AOC Morgon (Beaujolais) French denomination.
Founded in 1981 by Marcel Lapierre with the aim of making wine without using sulphur, without cultivated yeasts and using 100% organic practices, Domaine Marcel Lapierre is located in the town of Villié-Morgon, in the Beaujolais wine region. After his sudden death, his son Mathieu Lapierre now carries the family legacy with the same passion, through painstaking work and no oenological products.
Marcel Lapierre Raisins Gaulois Rouge comes from a vineyard of young 15-year-old Gamay variety vines that are planted in arid and poor granite sand soil. They use certified organic cultivation and biodynamic principles. They use herbal preparations instead of chemical fertilisers. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
In the winery, the Marcel Lapierre Raisins Gaulois Rouge winemaking process is 100% natural. They use traditional carbonic maceration with the whole berries. The must ferments spontaneously with native yeasts and without controlling the temperature.
Nicknamed “the wine of friends” Marcel Lapierre Raisins Gaulois Rouge is an easy to drink, refreshing and very lively natural red wine. Perfect for any casual get-together.
