La Vividora is a biodynamic coupage wine made with white and red varieties by Finca Parera, in Sant Llorenç d'Hortons, Barcelona.
Dora is the Finca Parera dog who goes with Rubén Parera, the winemaker, Jordi Parera, Rubén’s father, and Jordi Guasch, vine grower, when they go out to work in the field. He walks through the vineyards and stretches out under the vines, which provide more shade as he chews on stones he finds along the way. Dora has a good life and needs very little to be happy.
In honour of Dora, whose image can be found on La ViviDora, Finca Parera has created this wine. It is a curious coupage of all the varieties grown in their vineyards together: the white grapes Xarel·lo, Chardonnay, Garnacha Blanca and Gewürztraminer are combined with the red varieties Ull de Llebre (Tempranillo), Sumoll, Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha and Merlot vinified like red grapes in a style that could be a classic claret. The clusters come from plots cultivated under the principles of biodynamic agriculture and they ferment separately with their native yeasts before the final coupage.
The resulting wine is tasty and easy to drink. A wine with the essence of Dora, La ViviDora, for drinking, living, sharing and being happy. That is all you need!
