La Salada Disbarats is an organic, ecological and natural orange wine made by Celler La Salada using the Macabeo and Xarel·lo white varieties in Penedès (Catalonia).

Toni Carbó is the son, grandson and great-grandson of winegrowers from the Catalan region of Penedès, and seeks to work hand in hand with the land in his vineyards in Pla del Penedès (Alt Penedès). Cultivating native varieties and recovering old vines, he has now become a leading producer of natural wines. He works closely with the neighboring winery Mas Candí in Las Gunyoles, Avinyonet del Penedès.

La Salada Disbarats comes from vines planted around 1990 in clay-calcareous soil and surrounding the family orchard and pond. The vineyards are cultivated using ecological agriculture, always working to reproduce the balance that exists in the forest. No chemical fertilisers are used, so the plant is nourished with its own leaves transformed by soil microorganisms. The grapes are harvested manually.

In the winery, La Salada Disbarats is vinified with minimal intervention. To begin with, 50% of the Macabeo variety undergoes skin-contact maceration. The rest is directly pressed. The must then ferments spontaneously with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks for 7 months.

La Salada Disbarats is a great wine made through minimal intervention. It is made with the aim of recovering the spirit of the chemical-free wines that our ancestors enjoyed. A completely authentic orange wine.
