About La Gioiosa Prosecco Frizzante
Hailing from the north of Italy, in the province of Treviso, La Gioiosa Prosecco Frizzante is a delightful, playful, and sophisticated sparkling wine that epitomizes Italian style.
Specifically, La Gioiosa Prosecco Frizzante is a sparkling wine produced under the D.O.C. Prosecco appellation, a designation that has for years sought to protect the unique characteristics of these iconic wines from imitations and unauthorized productions. The D.O.C. Prosecco now operates under stringent criteria, with non-negotiable stipulations such as the permitted grape varieties, with glera (a native grape of the region) being exclusively allowed.
These standards are met by La Gioiosa, one of the oldest wineries in the area and the creator of La Gioiosa Prosecco Frizzante. Managed for generations by the Moretti Polegato family, it is among the most innovative in the industry, with meticulous and high-quality production processes. La Gioiosa Prosecco Frizzante is crafted using the Charmat method, where the base wine, after an initial fermentation, undergoes a secondary phase in autoclaves or large stainless steel tanks. Thanks to the pressure in these vessels, La Gioiosa Prosecco Frizzante completes its secondary fermentation in just 10 days, resulting in its distinctive bubbles and the rest of the organoleptic properties that define it.
What is undeniable, however, is the popularity of Prosecco. So much so that in 2008, due to high demand, the production area had to be expanded to encompass nine entire provinces to satisfy the thirst for Prosecco. But beware! For a producer to label their bottles with the D.O.C. Prosecco name, their sparkling wine must have undergone and passed stringent controls. La Gioiosa Prosecco Frizzante can proudly claim to have done so successfully. After all, not everyone can boast of embodying Italian style with such pride, right?
