Characteristics Kreydenweiss Ansata Rouge
Kreydenweiss Ansata Rouge is a biodynamic red wine made by Kreydenweiss as a VDP du Gard, using the Syrah variety.
Marc Kreydenweiss is one of today’s most sought after producers in Alsace. And that is because his name carries with it 300 years of winemaking tradition. In 1999 he acquired property in Costieres de Nimes where he now cultivates using biodynamic methods. A total of 12 hectares of vineyards filled with red varieties that will highlight the expression of the terroir.
The Kreydenweiss Ansata Rouge vineyards are planted in ferruginous and pebble soils. No chemicals are used and all work methods are biodynamic. They encourage low production with a yield of 30 hectolitres per hectare to enhance the quality of the wines. The harvest is carried out manually. Traditional winemaking processes are used in the winery.
The Kreydenweiss Ansata Rouge grape is classified and destemmed for alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. It then ages in French oak barrels.
Kreydenweiss Ansata Rouge is a red wine that, as its name Ansata (cross that symbolises life, love and fertility) suggests, emanates all the strength and energy that comes from the land in its natural state.

Kreydenweiss Ansata Rouge 2014 is a juicy red wine with aromas of raspberry, blackberry and blueberry and notes of undergrowth and cocoa. On the palate it is delicate and pleasant, with a fruity and mineral flavour.
