Characteristics Heinrich Pinot Freyheit

Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

Heinrich Pinot Freyheit is a natural, organic, biodynamic red wine, cask made with the Pinot Noir variety in Weinland Österreich, Burgenland by the Heinrich winery.

If we’re talking about wineries which are always cutting edge, we have to talk about Heinrich. A wine project in the Austrian area of Burgenland which stands out for committing to local varieties, for terroirs located at the foot of the Leitha mountains and for biodynamic cultivation. Wines which express their natural origin like no other.

Heinrich Pinot Freyheit originates from vineyards located on the mountainside of the Leithaberg. It’s a very special place dominated by slate soils and full of minerality. The vine is cultivated in accordance with biodynamic regulations and the harvest is carried out manually at the optimum moment of ripening.

In the cellar, a third of the full bunch of the Heinrich Pinot Freyheit grapes ferment spontaneously with native yeasts and with two weeks of maceration. Finally, the wine ages for 21 months on its lees in 500-liter oak barrels and used amphoras.

Both sophisticated and frugal, Heinrich Pinot Freyheit is an infinitely elegant red wine. A natural wine which beautifully expresses the minerality of its origins.
